Biography
The Fods is a demoing and recording vehice for Ol Collins, former Flawed and current Goodstock Project guitarist.
Comprising of a rotating cast of collaborators, stretching back to long-standing writing partnerships from the ’90s right through to new cohorts found in the Wild West that is the internet.
As a result the material is eclectic, but always with a commitment to Low Fi and Lo Fuss. Think “The Desert Sessions” without the desert.
As of Spring 2023 The Fods entered a “write an EP in a month” challenge, the result of which was the “One To Watch” EP, named after the accolade it was awarded. The lead-off single Gil Barco, was release on all streaming platforms on 14th July 2023, with the EP following on 13th October.
In late 2023 The Fods started the Don’t ARgue project which revisits the very earliest ancestry of Good Stock Records, modernising tracks recorded on 4-track tape by the band of the same name in the early 1990’s. The lead single You’ve Not Got Me dropped late Dec 2023.
