Another month, and another Fods banger.
The Fods have had an epic 2026 so far with Fuel, Cold, Kickback (Nightwolf Remix), I Don’t Hate It, and now this!
The Still Pouring Rain
What can we say about this track other than it’s another banger from the Critchley / Collins stable, indie/alt-rock vibe with all sorts of guitar work going on throughout. We hear a memorable vocal, soaring melody, harmony and counterpoint making the the 4+ minutes of this track just fly by!
Rob is keeping the lyrical meaning close to his chest and says only this: “It’s about some of our own ancient history repeating itself” – OK, then!
The gritty, confident but soulful vocal comes from [ LUDIOSIS ], who also contributes a lot of lead guitar too, duelling and jousting with ol at the beginning and ending of the track!
Look out also for the first instance of slide guitar on a Good Stock Records release.

Now, with that all said, this means we have had 10 original tracks release since the start of 2025 (alongside the 2 Don’t ARgue-era cover versions in What Do I Get and Teenage Lust) – surely, surely now we can get to the bottom of these coy rumours coming out of Camp Fod about an album…. I guess we’ll find out before too long!
The big question is not if or when there’s an album but rather “How do you sequence 10 tracks, 11 vocalists, across multiple genres on to one cohesive release?”.
