The Running Order
1) The Ineffectuals (featuring Joe Booe)
A huge rock number to open proceedings with Floridian powerhouse Joe Booe bringing a dynamic vocal which soars above incredible guitars and a pounding rhythm.
2) I Don’t Hate It (featuring The Puncturists)
Barnsley punks The Puncturists lead singer “Riot” Gail Townsend displays her Yorkshire grit to sing through the pain of knee surgery to deliver a sensational vocal performance which The Fods ensemble have augmented with a bit of old school punk chaos.
3) Fuel (featuring Nevin)
Oregon based Indie Rock legend Nevin lays down vocal and lead guitar for this epic atmospheric groove rock number which builds to a huge crescendo as Nevin gives a performance powered by, well, Fuel
4) The Still Pouring Rain (featuring [ LUDIOSIS ])
Our latest tune, LUDIOSIS, out of Norfolk in the UK was given the unenviable job of featuring on the final song to be finished. In his true style, he excelled, delivering an impeccable vocal performance, and even chipping in with some dueling guitars challenging ol in the opening and closing stanzas. This is a good time indie rock anthem with The Fods signature swagger and LUDIOSIS seamlessly hitting the right notes. Did we save the best until last? Quite possibly…
5) Cold (featuring Sonia Hutchinson)
Moody, ethereal and moving, goth/rock/alt band Crowsilver’s singer Sonia Hutchinson from Bristol, UK delivers a mesmeric performance on one of The Fods more introspective moments. This alt rock classic conveys dark undertones and intense feelings of loss and loneliness, and really is a stand out on this album
6) I Get Blamed (featuring Headphone Jacks)
Upbeat, lively and irreverent, Helsinki hellraisers Headphone Jacks provide meticulous harmonies for a punk stomp along which will keep you pogoing until the last up tempo, punk rocking beat
7) Shopping (featuring Aura Davis & Birch)
The original song, which got the whole project moving, and the only duet on the album, Birch from Scotland and our Swiss songstress Aura Davis take it in turns to scorn each other in this indie rock lovers tiff. It’s an indie banger, an indie classic, an indie earworm which will send one “wild crazy”.
8) What (featuring Icicle)
Following “Shopping” was always going to be a big ask, but “What” is the perfect foil. Laid back Indie vibes, harking back to The Fods Madchester roots, but delivered by Icicle‘s Montreal based vocalist Krassy Halachev with a chill swagger belonging in the late 80’s.
9) A Matter of Time (featuring Jay Luke)
As alternative a song as they come, but the true rock vocal of multi award winning Pennsylvania artist Jay Luke takes the pounding synth bassline and bongo based rhythm in a direction which is increasingly hard to categorize. It is a tune that is in keeping with Jay’s rock pedigree, despite it’s genre blurring intonation
10) ….Is Very Much Enough (featuring Georgina White)
Closing the album with the epic blues ballad performed quite stunningly by the British-Austrian virtuoso Georgina White, this is a moving, emotionally charged finale which will ensure that “Does Not Conform to Regulations” does exactly that. There are no rules, and there are no regulations. The Fods push the boundaries of what Indie Rock is expected to be, no more so than with “…Is Very Much Enough?”
