The Fods second release of 2025, continuing the process of putting out a new material track with a B-sides based on covers, curiosities and the rescue of other 4-track recordings from the olden days of Good Stock Records artists.
This time around we have a spanking new Critchley / Collins lead single I Get Blamed, which is a tongue-in-cheek punky romp, along with a throwback to the Don’t ARgue era (and indeed recording sessions) – with Fod Brother Ez taking centre-stage on a cover of Buzzcocks’ What Do I Get?
1 : I Get Blamed
Critchley / Collins, aka Rob and Ol, keep up the new material momentum offering up this punky romp with Rob‘s words and Ol‘s music once again, the vocal delivery comes all the way from Finland – introducing the Headphone Jacks, who get the snarky humour bang on point.
2 : What Do I Get?
This is a cover of Manchester’s original punks Buzzcocks 1976 single, and was an ever-present in Don’t Argue live shows with Rob handling vocals – however What Do I Get? was never actually recorded by the band, so this is a spirited version recorded with Ez on vocals this time around which aims to honour the original Buzzcocks 1976 version and also the way it was performed by Don’t Argue circa 1992.
